Australian company using seaweed to make plastic packaging

According to The Australian Financial Review, a start-up based in Jervis Bay has developed a process for turning almost any variety of seaweed into an alternative to single-use plastic packaging, catching the attention of companies including Unilever and Colgate Palmolive.
Scientists at Kelpy have developed a process to turn seaweed into bioplastic pellets that can be used in existing plastic manufacturing machinery.
