Haru (Harry) Kinase - Managing Director
After graduating of Master of Engineering at Chiba University (National University in Japan) in 1996, Haru started working at Asahi Shimbun, one of the biggest newspaper companies in Japan in 1996.
As a chief mechanical engineer, Haru engaged in newspaper printing business and dealing with a large-scale new capital investment project from planning to execution. In addition, Haru was a registered member of the “newspaper print handbook” issued by the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association. Haru also graduated of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree course from university in USA in 2004. After moving to Australia in 2007, Haru started working for the Australian company which is developing one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Australia. As an Executive Business Development Manager (Asia/ Japan), Haru worked with a number of Japanese and Australian companies including steel companies, trading companies, engineering companies, finance companies, shipping companies and governments to obtain the necessary information, make proposals, negotiate the deals and forge the legal agreements. Haru also worked as a engineering manager and produced project plans and budgets (Capex, Opex estimation) for major projects. A wholly owned subsidiary company of the Australian company (above-mentioned), was established in 2011 and Haru led the management of the company as Executive Project Manager. He also commenced the negotiations to achieve legal agreements with the clients to provide business and management consulting in the provision of a number of planning frameworks and proposals in liaison with many Japanese and Australian companies. Haru has established a wide and strong network with large Japanese and Australian companies. Recently, Haru established Japan Australia Business Creators Pty Ltd (J-ABC), and became Managing Director. J-ABC aims to expand business creation, joint ventures and business partnerships between commercial and government enterprises in Japan and Australia. Haru’s fields of business specialisation include engineering, marketing, research, planning and proposals, business negotiations (Japanese and English) and corporate management. |
Honourable Rod Welford - Senior Consultant
Rod is a former Australian parliamentarian between 1989 and 2009. Rod had served ministerial positions in Australia as the Minister of the Environment, Natural Resources Education and Training, and Attorny-General Queensland between 1998 and 2009. Prior to entering Parliament, he was a senior lawyer working in national legal firms and for the Australian Government.
Rod retired from Parliament in 2009 and became the national CEO of the Australian Council of Recycling, the national industry Council for the recycling industry. Rod has also been active as board member of numerous major Australian companies. Rod was the Chairman and CEO of a specialist energy system design firm which delivers energy cost saving programs for large energy intensive enterprises, especially in the mining and resources sector in Australia and internationally. They undertakes work in multiple countries for projects on behalf of major international corporations. Rod has maintined good and strong relationships with the Australian Government, State Governments, local councils and a number of Australian companies. Rod holds tertiary qualifications in Arts, Law, Industrial Relations, Legal Practice, Science and Environmental Management. |
