According to The Australian Financial Review, Queensland has five of the top 10 solar postcodes in Australia, as the surge in popularity in roof-top solar systems shows no sign of abating.
With 24 per cent of Australia's total electricity generation now coming from renewable energy, the latest Clean Energy Council annual report showed wind (35.4 per cent) was the most popular form of generation type, followed closely by solar (32.9 per cent). It found there was 2.2 gigawatts of new large-scale solar added to the grid in 2019, with 34 large-scale projects completed last year, delivering $4.3 billion in new investment and 4000 jobs. Queensland had half of the top-10 solar postcodes in Australia, including Hervey Bay (4655) with 12,744 installations and 49,391 kW; the Sunshine Coast's Caloundra (4551) with 11,214 installations and 40,701 kW; Toowoomba (4350) with 10,679 installations and 46,551 kW and Mackay (4740) with 9119 installations and 47,405 kW. https://www.afr.com/companies/energy/sunshine-state-leads-solar-pv-uptake-20200409-p54iie If you want to read this article in Japanese, please see the following link: https://www.j-abc.com/jp-blog/2566597.html Comments are closed.
