According to The Australian Financial Review, as job losses from the COVID-19 pandemic mount, start-ups are seeing the opportunity to step in to help redeploy people who have suddenly found themselves out of work.
On-demand staffing platform Weploy has launched a free platform called WeployConnect to connect people with job opportunities, while tech company The Hatch Exchange has launched a talent marketplace designed to place workers who have been stood down. Weploy chief executive and co-founder Tony Wu said the platform aimed to help workers who may have been affected by COVID-19 and needed to find work. Australia Post, Laureate, Antler, AcademyXi and Vivid CD are just some of the employers hiring and onboarding employees through WeployConnect across a broad range of jobs including retail, product engineers, delivery drivers, customer service representatives and marketing roles. https://www.afr.com/technology/how-startups-are-helping-redeploy-furloughed-workers-20200426-p54ndt If you want to read this article in Japanese, please see the following link: https://www.j-abc.com/jp-blog/4566754.html Comments are closed.
