An Australian-based company named VanMed Australia has officially launched its brand TECMASK, introducing cute fashionable face masks to the Japanese market.
The concept of TECMASK (Total-Environment-Care MASK) was created by a Australian father-daughter duo that believes it is possible to transform an every day commodity into a much needed fashion accessory. Whilst visiting Asia, the pair noticed a number of people wearing plain white masks, which lead them to developing this business idea. Up until now, masks that are seen being warn amongst the Japanese market have been predominantly white. Although in the last few years we have seen black face masks immerge, there has been a lack of cute, trendy masks to hit the streets of Japan until now. Not only are these masks stylish, they include a PM2.5 filter, have comfortable ear loops and use a make-up friendly inner layer, to ensure that their consumers are protected in style and comfort this mask season! TECMASK has captured the attention of a number of world-renowned influential brands including Vogue Japan and Elle. The brand has also been purchased by the likes of models and celebrities who have been seen coordinating their mask with their outfits. This season TECMASK is now officially collaborating with the major Japanese magazine, LARME and famous Japanese Model, Rise Nakamura. There are a lot of exciting things to come out of this tie-up, which will be released overtime. There are over 20 cute designs available on their website (www.tecmask.jp), which include patterns such as roses, tartans and snowflakes. The design range also includes a Limited Edition mask that was designed by the key influencer, Risa Nakamura herself. These stylish masks that didn’t exist until now, can now be purchased both online and in selected retail stores (http://tecmask.jp/retail-locations/), arriving just in time for the winter season to commence.
